Ode to EA: A Gamer Codex Production

In light of recent events, I though giving a unique spin on EA’s reputation would, at the very least,  be interesting.  So, without further adieu, here is Gamer Codex’s first internally produced rap, for your enjoyment:

Ode To EA

Chorus

Let me tell you a tale that feels regret

O, corporate greed and manipulation, you make me upset

This little old company, call ’em EA

They treat us fans like dirt, and for their products we still pay.

 Verse I

Now back in the day, EA wasn’t so bad

They cared about quality, and that made us glad

Then those thieving thinkers turned on their toes

Making developers everywhere cry, making them our foes

 Chorus

Let me tell you a tale that feels regret

O, corporate greed and manipulation, you make me upset

This little old company, call ’em EA

They treat us fans like dirt, and for their products we still pay.

Verse II

Origins Systems, BioWare, Black Box, the list seems non-stop

Their treatment of employees makes our heads want to pop

Mass Effect 3, Harry Potter: Deathly Hallows, Dragon Age Two

All mistakes build up, it’s a pile of poo

 Chorus

Let me tell you a tale that feels regret

O, corporate greed and manipulation, you make me upset

This little old company, call ’em EA

They treat us fans like dirt, and for their products we still pay.

Verse III

Electronic Arts once had a good name, good eye for quality

Now all we know is it gets off on its vanity

Here’s the lesson, and listen well:

If we vote with our wallets, then their garbage won’t sell

Don’t buy their games if you want them to change

Activision they’re not; they’re a creative wide range

Thank you for reading.  Please feel free to comment below, and to answer your inevitable inquiries, yes, there will be more “articles” like this in the future.  Keep reading, gamers.
